Several falls at the Enota Mountain Retreat and Conference Center are accessible by short maintained trails. The falls shown here are on Joel Creek. The picture above shows most of this 150 ft falls as seen from the hillside trail and is within a 10 minute walk from the Retreat Visitors Center. A branch trail follows the other side of Joel Creek to the bottom of the falls shown below.

Below the main falls is the smaller falls on Joel Creek shown below. This pretty falls is only a short distance from the visitors center. Although fishing is not permitted in the pools below and above the falls, both pools contain large rainbow trout.

Enota Mountain Retreat, is located in Towns County near Hiawassee and Helen, Ga. on Hwy. 180. To reach Enota from Hiawassee follow Hwy. 76 east about three miles and turn right on Hwy. 17/75. Follow Hwy. 75 south for almost 7 miles and turn right on Hwy. 180. Go approximately 2.5 miles to the Enota sign on the left. From Helen, Ga. follow Hwy 75 north about 11 miles through Robertstown, over Unicoi Gap and down the mountain to Hwy. 180 on the left. Follow Hwy 180 approximately 2.5 miles to the Enota sign on the left. This is private property so you must obtain permission at the Visitors Center to visit the falls .
