Dukes Creek Falls is actually on Davis Creek as it joins Dodd Creek to form Dukes Creek. For those not who do not want to take the 1 mile walk to the bottom of the gorge, there is an observation deck 0.1 miles from the parking area which has a distance view of the falls shown below.

The falls drops approximately 200 feet. The 1 mile relatively easy walk to the falls from the parking area is by way of switchbacks into the Dukes Creek Gorge. Steps are provided on the steep sections of the trail down. Upon reaching the bottom a 300 foot long walkway connects 3 observation decks which along with the walkway afford excellent views of the falls and shoals on all three creeks.

To reach the Dukes Creek Falls parking area, follow Hwy. 75 out of Helen, Ga. 1.5 miles to Ga. Hwy 75Alt. at Robertstown. Turn left on 75Alt. for 2.2 miles and turn right onto Ga. 348, which is the Richard Russell Scenic Highway. Go 1.7 miles to the entrance to the parking area on the left.

The top of Dukes Creek Falls can be reached by leaving the parking area and driving 1 mile to the Raven Cliffs Scenic Area parking area and driving past the parking area for 0.5 miles to a pull off on the left. A trail of about 200 yards leads down to the top of the falls. Another falls on Davis Creek is a few yards above the top of Dukes Creek Falls.

By driving an additional 0.5 miles past the access to the top of the falls a ford across Davis Creek is reached. Park just across the ford and walk upstream 100 yds to still another waterfall shown below.
